I just picked up my new 2003 GMC Sierra EC SB Z71.

The dealer has installed the cheapest, ugliest looking

from license plate holder that I have ever seen.  It sticks

out farther on the bottom than the top.  Does anybody

know if there is a better license plate holder available

either from GM or aftermarket.  I have already installed a

Line-X spray-in liner. Looks real good.

Thanks,

Bob

YES, now that is exactly what I need.  I also like the license plate holder as well.  They are certainly nice trucks, but a little out of my price range.  I wonder if the SS plate holders are available for purchase by themselves?

Actually the owner of that SS turned his holder upside down and attached it to the screen below so that he didn't have to drill holes into his bumper cover see pic below.  But it looks very nice.  :thumb:

That is a very good installation job.  No holes in the bumper cover of the SS.

Maybe the one the dealer installed on my 2003 GMC is upside down. I'll have to check it out.  For some reason, it doesn't look right, slanted from top to bottom. I wish I could find one of those molded kind that appears to follow the contours of the bumper.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
