98 s10, has the 4 banger in it, wont start repaired a bunch of wires that come from fuse box (they rubbed on manifold and were exposed) checked all the fuses in truck all good, getting no power to fuel pump, if I jump the relay fuel pump comes on (good fuel pressure that way), but I'm not getting spark either swapped out a computer I had laying around but still no spark or fuel pump, I checked all the wiring everything looks good. so what would cause no spark and keep fuel pump from getting power. any advise is much appreciated.

Check the crank sensor and its wiring. Easy way to see if it is working is by monitoring the engine RPM PID on a scantool while you're cranking it. If it sees RPM, it is working.

The thought process behind checking the crank sensor is that it sounds like the PCM doesn't know when the engine is cranking. I'm thinking this because the lack of spark AND fuel pump command.

Let us know what you figure out.
