Boost and EGt gauge hook up help needed?

Recommended Posts

New Member was told about the site from a friend and read alot of great info.

I just bought a 03 2500HD w/duramax and need to know where are the best places to hook up a boost and EGT gauge? Is there some directions on where is the best location or a how to?

Buddy also told me about getting his truck to set level buy adjusting the torsion bars. Will this cause any problems if done professionally? Would like to get that done also.

Thanks

X Monitors are really cool. I am thinking about getting one for my Superduty. Most people mount gauges on the drivers side piller. The problem with the 03 Superduties is Ford put a big grab handle on the drivers side so the room for mounting gauges is limited.

Do a search for torsion bar cranking. There has been alot of discussions on this subject. You can do this youself but there are a couple of secrets to doing it right. Crank them on a level surface and measure the distance from the ground to the frame to get both sides level. Do not crank them all the way up because the keys will not be able to flex and will bind aginst the crossmember. Leave at least 3 to 4 threads. Get a front end alignment when you have this done. If you are under 12K miles the dealer will do the alignment if you complain that it pulls or something like that.

I hope this helps.
