2013 Tahoe Window Defrost Grid Peeling

The defrosting grid on the rear window and side rear window is peeling off of my fathers 2013 Tahoe. I can not figure out how this is happening, considering he bought the truck on Black Friday in 2013, so less than two years ago. Has anyone else run in to this problem? I have not been able to locate any other posts with this issue.

 

I am not sure if this is something the dealer will even replace, should we just peel off the rest? It is just the rubber peeling I believe.
