08 Silverado 5.3 Z71 4x4 starter won't disengage

I have a 2008 5.3 Crew cab Z71 offroad 4x4 that has been having issues with the starter not disengaging, when I start the truck with the key or remote the starter continues to try to start the truck until the engine starts, usually after 10 seconds or so, I replaced the starter because it was sounding bad, I also replaced the start relay but to no success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
