4WD works, but not the dashlight indicator

My 2004 Silverado has functioning 4WD, with the manually activated floor shifter. However, the dash light indicating 4WD engagement doesn't come on. It doesn't come on when I turn the ignition on either, but I am not sure if it is part of the "bulb test" process. Thanks for the help!

Manual should say if it is part of the startup. If it doesn't, its easy enough to disassemble and replace the bulb but if you're gonna go to that trouble, do all the lights that are plug and play at the same time as well. you can generally find what you need online, but the bulbs in there are different sizes so you gotta make sure you get the right one...
