I had this problem for a while and it came down to the message coming up within a half mile of driving. I finally figured it out. It's more likely to be the Accelerator Sensor. What is that you ask? It's the gas pedal. The sensor is connected to it. Cost is about $70 and it's 2 bolts to change. Good luck my fellow drivers.
