Stock Torsion Keys with Lift Blocks

Recommended Posts

Planning on getting either 1 inch or 1.5 inch rear lift blocks. You guys think I can get the stock keys to go up to be level with those blocks? I currently have them cranked up a bit almost to level with no blocks.

I wouldn't too much tension on those bars

You can get new keys and blocks cheap on eBay.

I did research prior to posting this and people have went as far as adding 2 inch blocks and still using their stock keys, I just wanted some direct opinions and yea, to much tension could do some serious damage.

Gotta have a decent amount of miles on it have you ever placed shocks in it if not would go wwith a kit that's why I am know the shocks in that kit are not name brand like bilstein or skyjacker or Rancho but for the price I'll give them a shot worst that happens it rides stiff but as a truck should in my eyes. If there not great I'll put 30k on them and put some bilstein in her. But remember the tires have a huge effect on how stiff your ride will be as well I'm going to be installing 305/70/16 gt radial adventuros very meaty tire and nice and cheap will also update on them once there on December first or second. With doing my lift and new sneakers I'm also putting in new uppers new lowers new idler arm new pit man arm new inner aand outer tie rods.

I dont know how to quote replies on a phone so im just doing the standard reply but my truck is a 2003 Silverado 1500HD 2WD and from the looks of it that kit fits my truck. Would like to see some pics or your ride when you get it done. Also i was leaning more towards a 1"-2" lift im going to look around and see if i can find one

And as for shocks go I was thinking of getting some rancho shocks and the blocks seperatly but the prices of the kits seem to be better if not the same.

I'll keep you updated on it for sure. And for quote on and phone you just use that little arrow next to the thumbs up symbol.

Why are you lifting your truck may I ask? Just for the look? Or are you putting bigger tires on?

Yes and also i have a ranch and the trail has some deep ruts, nothing my truck currently cant handel but id rather have the extra bit also it looks cool. And yes im planning on some 16x8's with either 305's or even if i can some 315's or.... some h2 rims which are 17's with the same tires or a size down.
