what did you use to black out your rims?

i plasti-dip them about 2 years ago and have not had a single peel, rub, etc and i power wash my truck almost weekly. if you prep the right it will last forever. imo

Agreed; I do prefer the Xenons of mine though and prefer function over form. I've been out of the full-size chevy game for over a decade, but I'd imagine the '14s have issues that have been rectified by '17.

Sharp looking truck.

The '14 was a Z71 and the '17 isn't... is that a downgrade? What features other than decals are even part of the Z71 package any more?

not really any difference my new one is the all-star edition which comes with 3.42 gears, auto rear locking diff, skid plates so other than the sticker the only other z71 product is rancho shocks, which I hated and road like shit in my truck and my truck bounced like it was on hydro's. i upgraded to bilstein which i will be doing to this one in the coming weeks.

how did you prep them?

how did you prep them?

just took the tires off the truck, washed with a mild dish detergent, rinsed again with water, dried them with a microfiber cloth.

then about 7 coats very light and allowed them to dry but remain a tiny bit tacky so it would continue to stick onto each other.

I have a ‘17 Silverado z71 I just put 2.5/1” level on it and I’m trying to figure out wheels and tire sizes. I want to go 20s with a negative offset, ideally with 12” width. 33” Nittos.  Help a brotha out
