Since 2 teeth are broken on my pinion gear....

What is a good name brand of gears to replace my stock 3.73s.

I am doing this swap to "Repair" my rear-end not upgrade to a different size, so I am getting 3.73s again.

Are there any gears that fit in without re-shimming, etc.

Thanks!!

P.S. on a Ford Rear - Ford Motorsport gears 'usually' fit in perfect without re-shimming even if you go with a different ratio.. It is only when you put like - Richmond, Motive, etc.. in a Ford rear that you have to re-shim/adjust.

Is there a comparable Chevy gearset that goes in place of the factory ones.. Again I stress that I am only looking to replace the stock ones with the same ratio. This is a Repair not a ratio change.

I probably would say you could go with Superior, Richmond, Strange, or even stock replacement. But as a rule of thumb I go by, is that to use new stuff in a rear (except for the carrier) when rebuilding. Its best to do it correct the first time.
