HELP, Air blowing from forward facing vent only

Guys,

Because of my STUPIDITY I think I may have fried something. Back story as follows:

This past Saturday I did a LED and Stepper Motor swap on my 03 Silverado.

In the process I also changed out the bulbs in the climate control unit.

While the circuit board was out of the CC unit I decided to plug it in and make sure all of the bulbs worked before I buttoned everything back up.

I think.................No, make that I KNOW I plugged the harness in upside down and got hit with that distinct smell of burnt electronics for a moment. Unplugged the harness and flipped it around. All the bulbs were good and I put everything back together.

Now I have no control over the direction of air flow....if I turn the knob to any position it still only blows out the front vents only. The blower speed control is fine.

 

Could I have cooked the blend door actuator or just threw it out of sync ?

I'm going to try pulling the fuse and hopefully it will reset .

 

I'm also going to hook up my scanner and see if there is any codes in BCM

 

I contemplated on visiting a couple of local bone yards to see if they had another unit but then I thought, what if something else is fried ? I'd waste the bucks and it still wouldn't solve the problem.

Update: No codes, pulled fuses, they are ok.

Another thing I noticed, the Recirc, A/C and Rear Defroster Buttons are not lit or functioning..

 

My money is on the unit itself being fried.

Could I have shorted out the blend door actuator ? Anyway of just testing that ?
