Hole in the firewall for cable

I want to run my Cb cable from the console all the way back to the bumper on my NBS ext. cab short bed Z71, where is there a hole in the firewall or is there an easier way to run it from the console to the bumper. I plan on running it along the fram, I have about 18 feet of cable, will this be enough, if not can you add more to CB coax? Thanks alot

If you don't have to go into the engine bay, don't.

Go down the door sill, and put your hole in the back of the cab. Less chance of poking a hole in something important. Much easier to access as well.

No cutting needed at all......Just run it to the back of your cab and at the bottom right corner or left corner is a vent on the back of the cab. You might have to pull back the insulation and carpet some but that is where I have my cable going through. The best place to see what I am talking about is to look in between the cab and bed down towards the bottom.

Pull the carpet back below the parking brake and there is a rubber grommit for the parking brake that you can cut a hole and run the cable through that.

This Worked for me!!

I picked up my electrical from under the power driver's seat, pulled the sill molding and found a hole just aft of the driver's seat. So I ran the RG cable under the carpet over to the hole and through to the frame. I siliconed the hole for good measure.
