Manual Hub Conversion

I was wondering if anyone is aware of a kit to convert the front wheels to a manual hub system on the newer 4x4 Chevys. I've looked around a bit, but cannot seem to find a kit out there. Good way to improve mileage a bit and reduce wear on the front cv's if you have cranked torsion bars.

The only true manual locking hub conversion that I am aware of is only available for the Dana 60 in the front of 1994 through 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 series.

A Posi-lok cable actuated kit front axle disconnect is as close to manual locking hubs you are going to get with GM IFS as it services close to the same purpose....no vacuum or electronic gizmos to go wrong as well as the ablity to achieve 2wd low range which is nice for backing up heavy trailers. Check'em out

Now if only some ingenious individual would come up with a kit to rid the world of push button electronically shifted transfercases we’d be all set and late model trucks would actually have a reliable four wheel drive system.
