Anyone interested in seeing

I believe we are having an open house at the GE locomotive diesel engine plant where I work on Oct. 5 this fall.

 

I think I could sneak a couple of you in there if you are interested in seeing the machining and assembly process of these 4400HP motors.  These open houses are for family members, but the way I see it we are all cousins since we have such a fond love for the same girls (our trucks... LOL) .

 

We have about 500,000 sq ft of manufacturing and assembly floor space and we use every square foot!!!  We have to manage our space, in order to produce 1000 - 1300 engines/year!!!

 

Anyhow, the plant is located in Grove City Pa, which is about 60 miles North of Pittsburgh and is tucked into the area where Interstates 79 and 80 intersect.
