Thump From Under Cab!

I have had a thump sound from under the cab when the roads were semi rough or when I hit potholes, it has been making that noise for a few months now and the weather has always been too bad for me to check it out. Well I got a chance to get under the truck a few days ago and found my problem. The large bar that goes from inside the drivers side frame to the inside of the passenger side frame which holds the t-bars appears to be missing a bushing where it bolts to the frame on the bottom! Passenger side still seems ok though. I called the service manager and he ordered the parts. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem??

Yep, I only went about 3 years before that "thump clunk thump thump clunk clunk" on gravel roads. I drive a lot of gravel roads with washboardy surfaces and potholes, so there you go.

I don't know why they couldn't design a bushing that holds up better.

I had a thump to in my 2001. I took it in and it ended up being the drive shaft. They had to relube the (yoke?). I think that is what it is called. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thats a problem too. But I can get under my truck and watch the cross member thing I am talking about and when someone shakes my truck the cross member actually moves around a bolt, where the bushing is gone!
