SnakeEyeSS Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 Ever seen a Truck doing more than it is supposed to be able too? The worst I've seen is a 170HP V-6 ram with bed completely loaded with stuff(long bed), along with a good sized trailer that was also loaded down. It could barely go up a incline from stop, they almost had to floor it. And tehre are those occisonial Truck you see on the road with something in the baed making it almost crape the ground. Aniothjer one I saw a a guy in a 94-98 Chevy truck with air bag suspension, he had the back up as high as it would go(probably about 3 1/2- 4 feet_, and the front as low, to the point of where as he was going, he was throwing sparks all over the place from his crome bumper dragging the ground
pacodiablo Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 trucks with spacers...it looks awful and can't be good for the truck...i see it everyday
Guest Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 I saw some idiot pulling about a 36ft 5th wheel with a single cab toyota tundra... Ya know.. Thats a good way to cause an accident. For Christs sake get a HD if youre gonna be pulling a GD travel trailer.
SilveradoWV Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 We have alot of people around here that does stupid stuff like overloading trucks that arent capable of handling the load! Stuff like about 9 tons on a trailer without electric brakes, as well as trucks draggin the ground because of too much load in the bed!!!
D-Max Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 Just go to HomeDepot and you will see some trucks and cars getting way over loaded.. Funniest car I saw was a little Honda pulling a large popup trailer. The back was almost touching the ground.
pacodiablo Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 About 2 years ago we were on the interstate when traffic began to slow to a crawl. We saw some papers, then a chair, then a desk, another chair and more paper. We soon saw a red Ford Ranger with desks, papers and chairs stacked wwwwaaaayyyyy above the cab! No tie downs or anything. The driver of the Ranger had some explaining to do to a state trooper that spotted him!
Jpshostr Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 I've done it many times over. If my scanner was still working I'd scan the scale ticket from one of the loads of corn I hauled in last year, gross weight 29500lbs.
SnakeEyeSS Posted August 4, 2002 Author Posted August 4, 2002 I think we already knew that Shows how good a Chevy 350 can hold up. a couple of years with you's gotta say something for the smale block legend
