frame sizes on Tahoes

Noticed my 99 4D 4WD 5.7 Tahoe has 8 inch frame rails.

 

Looked at some others-Subs/Tahoes/Z71's and they all have a 6 inch frame.

 

I do have the C5U, 6800 GVWR option. Could that be the reason for the larger frame?

 

Just curious since I never heard of 2500 Tahoes.

Or you just didn't wait long enough! Give it more than 15 hours, not everyone is on here as much as I am ;) My answer would be no good to you, I'm sure my S-10 has smaller rails than your Tahoe.
