How Bout The SKYJACKER

Recommended Posts

I was looking around my town and doing a bunch of research and found that the cheapest guy in town was going to put a SKYJACKER on it

Whats everyone think about the SKYJACKER

I chose Rancho because I only wanted a 4" lift. Don't know if Skyjacker is too. Also, I didn't like all the sleeves being used to cross the tubular frame of the truck. Um, another thing is "they suggest that after realignment, they recommend to tack weld (about 1") the Front and Rear Lower A-Arm Drop Brackets to the lower cross member’s mounting points, to hold their alignment. In certain

conditions, the alignment of these crossmembers has gotton off requiring another visit to an alignment center". Oh and one more thing. I didn't like the fact that they use the differential skid plate to lock the front and rear crossmembers together, eliminating forward and rearward movement of cross members and differential. It seemed cheesy to me. Anyway, how high are you going? Got any pics?

Also what size rims and tires should i get and where do you recomend getting them from

I was thinking of getting

Wheels-36-12.50

Tires-16x8

does that sound right with a 6in skyjacker lift

I'm a newbie here so bare with me on the pic. I have stock rims with 285/75R16 BFG AllTerrains on, I think that's a 33" tire...right? Anyway, wish me luck with the pic...

Ok, this is crazy now. Why can't I post a pic

I joined Imagestation.com to get a picture of mine online. That was a PITA. So off I went to read how to post a picture and saw that CarDomain.com will do hot linking. So, I subscribe to them. I enter the name I want and email and the rest...blah blah blah. That was two days ago. How long do I have to wait for my password to arrive via email? I tried emailing them yesterday, guess what? Hehe, NO RESPONSE! So if anyone out there knows that Imagestation will handle hot linking, please let me know and I will try again.

P.S. I tried the / in img but the picture still doesn't come up. Anyway, still tring to post a pic. Thanks.

According to Skyjacker W/ a 6 in lift they suggest the largest tire is 35x12.5 either 15 or 16 inch on a 8-9 inches wide rim wtih 4.5 off set.,
