how many of you have an air pump and egr valve?

 

Just noticed I do and wonder if that is the cause of my lack of low end.

Your loss of low end comes from the 34.4" tires you are running.You have dropped your gear ratio to 3.64. Might wanna look into changing gears to 4.56's or even 4.88's

na, I had the issue before the 35's. actually feels a litte better with the 35's than the 33's

I believe that violates the law of physics. You cannot increase torque by just increasing tire size.

egr comes out the passenger side of the intake manifold and into the air pump then goes into the passenger side exhaust manifold.

uh....tire size has nothing to do with torque....low end acceleration maybe...but not torque.

Really. What do you think makes your truck accelerate. Torque! Go dyno your truck with stock tires then throw on some 35's and rerun it. You are going to see a drop-off in torque Larger tires increase rotating mass which negatively affects rotational torque delivered to the rear wheels. Larger tires also directly affect the overall gear ratio of the truck for the worse. Again affecting rear wheel torque

Are you saying you took two different trucks for a test ride?? I would assume that the they were different years since you said one had more torque... If I am correct it could just be that the engines power rage is different. The only way to tell how tires size effect performance is to swap tire on the same vehicle. Also I have come to believe that the SOTP "feel" is too subjective, and often wrong.
