Z71 vs. Z85

Can someone tell me the rough difference between the two suspension options and how much rougher the ride is on the Z71?

 

I love having all these different options choosing from for my new truck, but dam*, it's makes it SOOO hard too.

 

Like what do I REALLY REALLY WANT vs. what really really want.

Ride difference will hardly be noticable.

 

The Z71 does have a larger shock absorber on it but otherwise the suspensions are the same. (Possibly a different front torsion bar, but I'm not positive)

 

Other than that the Z71 package is an appearance package that includes skid plates and a few other goodies.

I have had the Z71 suspension package in my last 2 trucks (01 and 04) and the ride is superb. You will think you are riding in a car. My wife actually loves the truck now versus the 93 K1500 which she hated. The Z71 suspension components will not hurt your ride comfort in the least.

 

In 04, a Z71 package will also include a number of other add on's besides suspension and skid plate. These include locking differential, fog lamps temp/compass mirror, rear defogger and some other things I'm probably forgetting.
