Might buy a 02 Blazer

[99 Sierra]

I found an 02 blazer. It has 40000 miles on it. I do not know too much about them because all I have ever own was trucks. They are asking 15000 for it. Is that a good deal? Has anyone heard of any bad things about them? It is a 2 door and it is loaded. With the 4.3L

That's about $3k high. Do a search on Autotrader for similar models with similar miles.

My Blazer (see sig) cost $8500 with 50,000 miles. This was a GREAT deal. I think it would normally go for 11-12. If you could talk 'em down to $12,500 or less then I'd take it. I would might even go for $13k.

Check the oil cooler lines. They are a known problem, even after GM said they had a new design they still leak. The 4.3 is one of the best engines GM has ever used. If you take any care of it at all it'll last 200K easy. The rest of the Blazer will be falling apart around you but the 4.3 will be strong.

 

I think you can get a better price than that. With all the great incentives the last few years,people aren't buying as many used vehicles,so the market is flooded with them. Work the dealer over to get the price down to where you want it.
