MAFS died on the Blazer

So we're headed to the Richmond, VA area last Thursday for a family event. About 40 miles away in Fredericksburg, the Blazer starts bucking like a PO'd mule when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I'm thinking S*#T!!!, there goes the tranny. The rest of the shifts were 'standard', but 1st to 2nd was shaking our fillings! My in-laws' preferred garage gave us the name of their preferred tranny shop who troubleshot our ride and diagnosed it as the MAFS. Whew! Not that I like having to take any vehicle to a shop (especially when 300 miles from home!), but at least it was a $160 part, not a $2,500 tranny fix! Thanks to Hylton Transmission Shop in Mechanicsville, VA!
