ABS Lights

I have a 99 Sierra EXT Cab 4X4... and the ABS motor was constantly humming until I pulled the fuse.

 

Dealer tells me I need a new module at the tune of about $1000...

 

Does anyone know of a way to repair this or if no repair... can I get those #$%^@ Brake and ABS lights on the dash to go out.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Luckily I've managed to avoid the same problem, but have read about others who've worked with an Ebayer who repairs the module.

Again I have no experience with this guy, but I read of others on the forum who have had good experiences with this.

 

$115 sure beats $1000; I hope everything works out.

I had this exact problem and was determined not to spend $800-$1000 on the thing. I sent mine to Circuit Solutions (link in Vroten's post prior to this one) and it works fine now.

It took a little patience getting the module off but once I did I sent it in and they did a good job, haven't had anymore issues.
