Colorado Coming Closer

Well, as we saw on the front page of the site, FINALLY GM has made an official announcement about the 2004 Chevy Colorado.  So, what do you guys think?  This might be my future vehicle in a few years...I will probably wait one year to buy one after its introduction.  I'm thinking about getting a crew cab this time, rather than an extended cab, but if the extended cab gets a bench seat in the back rather than the fold down jump seats, then I'll think about it.  So, what do ya think???

When I first saw it, I wasn't so sure, but now I'm just lovin' it, I can't wait to see one in person, hopefully it'll be at the 2003 Chicago Auto Show!  I've gotta give it this:

the only thing i'm not crazy about is the little step, but that wouldn't make me think twice bout getting one.  Otherwise, I think it looks incredibly nice.  I'm anxious to hear of the different models that will be offered and I really believe that eventually(perhaps a year or 2 after being in production) a v-8 will be offered.  If they want it to compete with the dakota, then I think they need to offer a v-8.  I just don't understand why they are waiting so long to put it in production.  I fell there is a big market for a truck like it today, so why wait.  just my opinions though.

Yeah, they need to put a V-8 in it especially the crew cab, and it would be really cool to have a V-8 regular cab Extreme that could smoke the Dakota R/T  :P Maybe they can fit the aluminum 5.3 V-8 that they will be putting in the extended versions of the Envoy and Trailblazer???  The little step is kinda cool in my opinion, it first appeared on the Silverado Fox Cycle concept truck.  I like how the bed sides aren't just flat like this current generation, the body lines look nice to me   This truck is going to be a winner, I just wish it would come out sooner!

I personally like it.  There's a good chance you'll see me driving one shortly after its debut.  I, too hope for a bench in the back of the ext. cabs because those jump seats just don't cut the mustard with me.  I'd like to see a stepside ZR2 version, too!  And finally, I think a Long Bed Crew Cab like they make the Frontier in would be sweet because I need a little more than a tiny little box to carry my stuff in.

I like it.................That step is just part of the stepside bed. I think...anyway after the Z is paid for...I am gettin in line for a ZR2 Colorado!
