Torsion Bar?

I am new to this site and keep hearing people talking about cranking on there Torsion bars. What dose this do? I kinda have an idea that it will raise your truck up some how or another but i am not for sure I understand. If it is done for raising your truck wouldnt it just raise the front end? Thanks for the explaination ahed of time.

most of the time if you're talking about raising your truck with torsion bars, most people do it just to level out the look. I have to admit, if you have the low front sag like alot of bigger trucks, it'll make it look quite a bit sharper, although it'll ride a little bit rougher as well. It won't lift the back.
