Hesitation

For the past few weeks, when leaving for work in the AM, my 01 2500HD 8.1L hesitates. It only does it once for a second or 2, then it's fine for the rest of the day. WTF? I have a K&N air intake, and the filter is in need of a recharge. I seem to recall a thread out there somewhere linking my symptom to some goofiness with running the K&N. Can anyone confirm that or provide other thoughts?

You may want to try and clean off your Mass Air Flow Sensor with some elctronics cleaner. Sometimes excess filter oil and dirt in general can build up on the MAS and hesitiation, rough idle, poor throttle response all can result. It is easy to do any something to try...

You are welcome! You may also want to check out this thread onHesitation and Fuel Pressure Regulators. This may be another thing to look into. It seems like another common thing to go bad on the gassers...

When was the last time you used some fuel injector cleaner? It could be getting a bit gummed up too.
