Has anyone tried to install onstar in a vehicle that didn't have it already?

Nope, I would not even attempt to install it,we get people that ask us all the time here at the dealership about adding it and the techs. won't even try it,theres to much fancy stuff that goes with it,You use to be able to install it in some older vechs. back around '98-'99 but those kits are no longer around from GM.

Maybe someone would try it but I don't know what all you would need.

Starting in 2001 factory install only, before that it was dealer or factory.
