Engine running rough/missing

My 88’ 5.7 Silverado is missing and hesitating and I cannot figure out what the problem is. Last Thursday morning we had tremendous amount of rain and while I didn’t drive through deep water I did do something that affected the running of my truck.

 

I waited a couple of days hoping that whatever might have gotten wet would have dried out but it didn’t. Today I thought maybe the distributor cap/rotor may have been the culprit, but even though they needed changing it didn’t solve the problem.

 

Does anyone have any insight where to look next? I am thinking about changing the spark plugs and then if that doesn’t work try the plug wires.

My '94 4.3L was hesitating real bad. I couldn't figure it out. Dealer found it, the coil was bad. May be worth a try. Good luck!
