Audiovox SIRCK1 install help

Any ideas on where to mount this thing? I had it on a flexible mount for a cell phone cradle, screwed to the floor in my previous truck, just looking for a better idea.

Seems like we have the same exact setup. See my post: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...showtopic=32358. I found the best location for that docking station is right below the middle A/C vent. I will take some pictures of it and post them. Also, you'll need the AAI-GM24 or something similar. Seems like I'm the only one that is having problems with this. Let me know.

Here's my install, sorry about the picture quality, not sure what is going on with my camera. I installed the two RCA's for Aux2 from the AAI-GM24 on the console for an MP3 Player/Ipod. Have you bought the AAI-GM24?

That could be literally the inside of my truck, same options and color. I haven't bought the piece you are talking about, I thought I could use the SIRSWB installed in line with the antenna. I know it would of worked on my old truck, but am not sure abouth this head unit. Any ideas?

That's an interesting point, I didn't even think of that. Once the FM mod on the docking unit didn't work to my liking, I ordered the GM24. Go ahead and try that out, if it works ok I will go ahead and get the SIRSWB.

 

Any clue where to tap power so the unit stays on along with the rest of the stereo? Right now, once I pull out the ignition key my Sirius unit turns off but the rest of the stereo stays on. I suspect this may be the only option?
