04' TrailBlazer questions

Hey, new to site!

Just bought a 04' Trailblazer LS. I noticed it has no fog lights and i want to install the factory lights. Can I buy the factory lights and if so where would I splice in? I wonder if it would be plug n play or if I need to tap into my other lights? I also want some nice running boards. Any suggestions or links to a nice set that look close to the factory look? I happen to live about a hour from stylin concepts so I might drive over there soon, but wanted some ideas. glad I found this site. It's nice.

I am slightly worried about some of the reviews I have read on the Trailblazer. Seems there are some unhappy owners. I can't help to worry now.

Not sure what you mean about negative reviews on the TB....Everyone I know (in the real world) that has one, is very, very happy with theirs.

Havn't seen a disproportionate amount of complaints here either.

As for foglights, they should be a plug-n-play job, but I seem to recall someone needing a PCM flash from the dealer in order for them to work....But I may be making that one up.

Running boards...I would check local salvage yards. Some of them might have some factory ones off of a wreck that you could pick up nice and cheap.

Stick around, there are folks with a lot more knowledge than me on these matters...Hopefully some of them will chime in.

Welcome to the site! Overall, I love my TB! To me, it was just the right size and so far, no real problems. It will never be perfect though..

Thanks for the replies. I will definetly be hanging out here . The TB is actually for my wife, but I will try to take it when I can. I am not new to forums. I am a member of so many sportbike sites I lost track. I'm glad I found something similar for SUV's.

Hey 01' Hoe, Are your running boards stock? I notice they are slightly different then the Trailblazers. I like yours allot. I wonder if they would bolt right up to the TB.. Your ride is sweet!

well I just checked and it looks like the Envoy running boards will bolt right up to the Traiblazer. So I am going to buy a set. There is a set on ebay, but I am not sure if I want to buy them off ebay. I think i'll just go to my local dealer and spend the extra money knowing I'll get everything I need. I have always had luck with ebay in the past. The guy selling the running boards seems to have a ton of auctions going on and he uses the same picture for all of them. I just get a bad feeling when people do multiple auctions for the same item.

What about billet grills? I found this one on ebay.

Looks like it mounts directly over the stock. Will my radiator get enough air. I don't want to cause problems. My wife will kill me.

Good luck with your running boards. Mine came from factory that way. (Dealer installs them prior to delivery) A lot of the ones on Ebay are from takeoffs and surplus dealer inventory. Thanks for the complements. My grille is a Trenz bolt over. I was concerned about overheating, but no problems yet. I have not towed anything yet either.

Regarding the Ebay billet grille, I am not familiar with that brand. Take some time and do a little research. Some of the billet grilles are made very inexpensively (cheap).
