Maybe an '04

Well guys, I'm thinking about buying an '04 tomorrow. It's sport red with Neutral Leather Interior. 17" Rims, All Options, and huge rebate.

I've looked at the '05 they had on the lot. Drove the same. I noticed the drum brakes but could tell no difference.

I'm kinda undecided, I don't really care for the current front end but with the rebate I can look past that.

I guess I'm kinda looking for some opinions since I'm kind of undecided. Should I wait it out for the new Silverado? Take the rebate and get a truck now?

Any opinions welcome. Thanks.

I know-- I liked the disc brakes. Honestly, I could not tell a difference though. I tend to notice the small things missing like the hood light, spare tire lock (Now a $15 Option), trim piece on side of bed, chrom mirrors (Not Plastic), Chrome Plated Tag Lights, stuff that is on my'01. It just helps give the truck that "nice touch" kind of look. I won't lose any sleep over those options not being there but it would still be nice if it was there.

When are the new Silverados coming out again? Can you wait that long? Then add one more year as you should never buy anything the first year of production (just my biased opinion there...)

Heck, I'd say go for it...but I'm always looking for a new rig. If the '04s are similar to the '05s, then go for the '04. Take the rebate and a year's worth of free mileage.
