TB 5.3 or 6.0 liter swap?

I am considering pursuing the option of a 5.3 or 6.0 swap in my '02 TB LT .Can anyone give me any info on donor trucks,fit & computer options. The alternative is 75 hp shot of N20. I have sprayed my Impala & Jeep 5.9 in the past & want to do something different. Superchargers & Turbo kits don't seem to be an option for these trucks yet, unless anyone knows any different.

Count me as someone who would like additional HP. The LS1 Gen III engine would also be nice.

Getting an engine in and thru emissions check is a great concern of mine. With all the engine computer stuff nowdays, I don't know what all is involved.

Keep us posted as to your efforts.

Correct me if I am wrong but the TB with the V8 has a totally different front suspension.

But I would go with an LS2 motor comming out soon, you'll find it in a junk yard by the end of the year when some fool crashes his C6 vette or new GTO.

But the LS1 is a great motor. Had one in my 99 Z28 1LE

As a previous Vette owner (LT1) I really think the TB has plenty of power for its application. It really is not that slow of a truck.

My only concern would definitely be the handling concerns. With a more powerful engine - you will want to take the on/off-ramps that much faster. In a vette with a low center of gravity, 85 mph on a 45 mph off ramp is no problem.

But in a TB??? I would make sure I got it handling better first.
