What a difference now that it sits level!

I sure like it better with out all of the emblems, decals and side moldings!

I think I'm in love again!

I am not a fan of removing all themolding, decals, etc,

but your truck does look good.  I really like the painted

fender flares, those look sharp.

btw, what is that thing on the front of the truck?  I've never

seen anything like that before.

Kansas Kid....I'll tell you...I never liked the thought of removing all of the "stuff" niether.  It was a tough decision!

Here is a pic of before and after:

Rather than going with a traditional grill guard, I went with Westin's Bull Bar.  It is just different.

The beauty about this kind of thing is that we all like different things....I like "out of the norm".

MountaineerTom....I'll tell you...it was a real tough decision....especially when the majority of people said "leave the stuff on".

Thanks.

I was one that tought you should leave it on, but after seeing it off, it looks awesome.

I hate those tough decisions...you want to do it...you don't want to, and you keep going back and forth.  My wife gets mad when I ask for here opinion and says "what difference does it make, you'll do what you want anyway."  LOL.

Mountaineertom, that's funny!

My wife really hates when I ask her too.  I don't think she even thinks about it!

Even worse I think she fu... with my mind.

She is a less is more women and when it came to this she says it will look naked, like something is missing!

Oh well, our trucks are just expensive means of transportation to them.

As with many of you, mine is my toy.  In fact, I just sold my 68 Z28 a couple of days ago, because of that very reason.

Glad to see I am not alone!

A Westin Bull Bar huh.  I thought it was kind of funny because just today, I seen a F250 with one of those on it.  I'm glad I asked you what it was, because I would have been confused if I had just seen one on the road.  LOL

btw, those tires look alot bigger then 265's.  I'd have thought the 265's would look small with a 3" body lift, but I guess not.

Kansas kid, the 265s look OK, but I can hardly wait until next spring (as soon as the snow is gone) to get bigger BFGs mounted on my Pyhthons!

Then, I'll be real happy.

I have my doubts but I am hoping to be able to fit 315/75/16 ATs.  You can do it with a Rancho lift which is somewhere between a 4 and 6 inch, even though they just call it a 4.  I have a total of 5 in the front. Really 315s are only 34 and change.  If not then 33's will have to do until my warranty is out and I spring for a real lift to add to my body lift!

At the risk of being lynched, if I look at the side of the truck with the all the trim removed and ignore or cover the front and rear, it looks a little like a, well, uhh, mm, a F**d superduty.

Hold on Hold on, wait a darn minute! Your truck looks great, but you recently sold a 1968 Camaro Z28 so you could have your truck as a toy. Oh man your killing me, your killing me. That car is my dream car (also 1968 Canaro RS with retactable headlights). When I read that you sold that car I thought I was going to have a heart attack. OMG your killing me. :sneek:

Removing the molding was a tough decision, how hard of a decision was it to sell a 1968 Z28. Your truck is the best looking truck with a bedcap that I have ever seen. I love the new look. But why did you have to sell my car. :(  :)

y2kz71....have you recovered yet?

Sorry man!  I should have posted it for sale on here.

It was like this:  I can't stop putting toys on my truck and the next big purchase is going to be a 5th wheel or a cottage.

As much as it killed me to sell it, I knew that the restoration project was low on the priority list.

This will really kill you, the car had no rust on it at all!  I'll probably regret it when I want to restore one 20 years from now.  (The 67 to 73 Camaro is by far my favorite car.) But til then, I'll have my third stall back in my garage!

My real struggle was whether or not I should by a whipple charger or not with the money from the car.  Oh well the big screen (and my marriage) won out!

By the way, thanks for the complement on the truck!  I tried your link, but it doesn't work.

The bigpunn, I think that the Bull Bar was about $450 Canadian, but I kinda got a deal (that would be about 285 U.S.).  All of the information earlier on that was published by Westin said that it came complete with the skid plate, which to be honest I didn't want anyway.  When mine came in, low and behold, no skid plate.  I was not really surprised, but of course I raise some sh!!.  They ended up sending me one for free.  I like the bar, but still am not 100% sure that I like the skid plate.  Some days I do, some days I don't!

I just saw it advertised on line at macroautomotive for 340 for the Bull Bar and 100 for the skid plate (that translates into $395 Canadian....guess I got a good deal!)
