Factory Carpet Floor Mats

My 2002 extended cab came with the vinyl floor mats. They look dirty even though I use degreaser on them all the time. Does anybody have factory carpet mats? I have tan interior - does the color match well? I tried the catch-all mats but they didn't match the carpet color too well.

Can you give me a part number of the carpet mats you have? I looked on GM-parts direct and saw several different types, including molded types. Let me know what you have and if you like them.

Also, is the rear mat a one piece that covers the center hump?

My factory carpets came with the truck and they fit perfectly. Driver's side is grey with number 15178591 on the back. The rears are probably Suburban specific and only cover the foot wells - not the center hump.

My carpet mats do not show up in the GM accessories listing. They look similar to the ones with the Chevy emblems. But the driver's mat does not have the heel patch. But I can tell the carpet is pretty cheap. Just before I put in the Husky liners, the heel area was already matted down.

I would look after market. Husky liner or Niffty make great mats. i have the Niffty They fit great (they are made to Factory specs). I replaced my old factory mats with them. The color is exact perfect match. I got mine @ summit racing.

Got a set of GM Carpeted / Formed mats for my 01 Sierra Ext cab, and they are nice....and made by Nifty...look in the GM accessories for your truck at GMC / Chevy.com.

Believe me, they're nice and come with either "GMC" or "Bowtie" emblems embossed and come in colors that match your carpet.

Unfotunately, a little pricey though, but I think well worth it.

I think I might have found the mats you are talking about:

Is this right? You can look on gmpartsdirect.com and type in those part numbers to see them. Is "pewter" the right color for my tan interior?

Sounds like pewter is the right color. That's more of a tan color..

Mine is a dark gray, and I think it's called charcoal....

If you have access to your trucks sales brochure, the name of the color should be in it....also on the window sticker if you still have it...

I really like theHuskys I got in 2000 togo with my 2000 Z71. They fit perfect and do a great job.

I put the cheap factory jobs that came with the truck over those.

What color interior do you have? I have a 2006 Yukon XL and the build sheet indicates my trim is 92I dark pewter. I had the Niftys in my 1999 Silverado and they lasted over 100k. They are definately the way to go if you want a carpeted may opposed to a Husky or a Wheather Tech which have a slippery plastic feel.

I'm trying to determine what color would be best for this vehicle - charcoal or grey. I'm concerned the grey might be too light or the charcoal too dark?

Anyone have the Nifty's with the 92I interior? Thanks in advance.

I have the ones from weathertech, they are really nice. the cool thing about the ones for the front drivers and pass is that they are designed so that water and such gets dumped onto the door cill so it falls/flows out of the car. I have had them for a few months now and they are holding up well and look great. WWW.weathertech.com

To answer your question directly, after my shamless plug, I had the OEM carpet mats in my old tahoe and they where nice, looked good and lasted well.
