Need Opinion on Nerf Bars

I think Westin makes the nicest bars out there.  I prefer the chrome plated stainless, but you can get chremd steel and black powder coated steel too...

If you go to their website they are coming out with a new product.  "Aluminum Oval Step Tubes".  They appear to be 6" ovals with a reccessed pad and come in black or chrome.  I emailed them a few weeks back about them, but they didn't have much info at that time, or it was a "dud" that answered my email.  Maybe I'll call them, because I really liked those bars...

I bought Cabelas Stainless tube steps for my truck.  Very happy with them and they have a lifetime guarantee.  Besides the steps, then you are on their mailing list for their catalogs!

I put the westin chrome plated stainless step bars on my truck. Easy to install and very sturdy.

I have black powder coat Westins.  One thing to remember with step bars is that the step location is narrow and fixed.  With running boards you have a larger step area (width) and can step most anywhere along the length of the door.  The bars look sooo much better, though.  Rhino ( I think ) has a hybrid bar with a larger width step.

i think black westens would complement your truck's color

I think you are right, the black bars would look the best on my white truck, plus they are a lot cheeper then stainless. I found them here for $175.00 plus 60.00 if I want them installed. However, I think I'm going to install them myself, seems easy to do.

I had Smittybilt on my old CJ.  I liked 'em.  I don't have any on the truck, but if I did I'd probably go black polished from Luverne, (same brand as my brushguard) for continuity -
