timing after putting in a new distributor cap?

I was wondering if i had to get my engine retimed after putting in a new distributor cap, plugs, wires, etc... so far i have done this but haven't noticed any problems, no loss in power or anything.

If you loosened the bolt holding the distributor in and rotated the distributor housing. If you replaced cap, rotor, wires, you wouldn't have moved the distributor. It usually requires a specially angled wrench to access that bolt anyway...I believe it's a 13mm.
