Just bought a 1500 crew cab and cannot use my old 10" sub box so now I need a new box for this truck.

Anyone know where to look or has made one?

This is the one that I am using. Fit and finish is great. Only problem is that it is not very deep. That is why I am using the MTX sub that I use. You also have to cut off the tab where the spare tire tool bolts down to.

That is going to suck that I may have to buy a new sub as mine measures 6.50 deep.

I hate explaining to my wife that I am going to have to spend more money on the truck!!

What is that box going for as far as price and where are they located?

Thanks

I paid $150 for the box. The company that makes it is in Texas. Call them and they will be happy to talk to you all you want. They can also give you the name of a local retailer as they don't sell direct to the public. When I bought mine I had to have it ordered as this is a brand new box.

I used to make speaker boxes for several custom stereo shops in my area. I have since sold all of my equipment to those shops and completely removed myself from that business. I recently purchased a downfire sub bopx off of ebay. There are a few companies that are selling them on there for a very reasonable price. I picked up one up for my new exended cab that can house 2 12" subs. I paid $61.00 and that included shipping. The box is very solid and at that price it was almost cheaper than I could make one for considering my time involved. The boxes come carpeted and you can get them made for 8, 10, 12 or 15 inch subs.

I built one to put behind the seats of my CC. I prefer vented boxes and the box is only 5" deep, so I could only fit one RF punch 10". The box cost me $12 (for the MDF) and the speaker cost me $50. Can't beat the price!!! It sounds pretty good, but I want more. I am thinking about getting a Kicker S8L5 or L7, which are rated at 300 & 450 watts (rms), and they sound good for such a small speaker!!!

I have acces to build my own does anyone that has one behind the seat as I guess that is the best place to put one.

Does anyone want to share thier sizes and I can possibly build my own.

Heck a picture would even be nice.

I've built several boxes and was prepared to build one for the CC, but after checking out the quality of the Probox box, I was sold that my time could be better spent elsewhere. I haven't seen any other companies building boxes for the 1/2 ton CC, who else is making one?

for whatever reason, the link doesn't work, sorry... it is to fullsizechevy.com, under audio/video, 99 to present bs, the thread name is "NBS crew cab boxes," dated a while back, so you may have to adjust date in "sorting threads" section at the bottom... anyway the box shown is:

height=10.375", width=48.0", top depth=4.875", bottom depth=7.75"

(ported on passenger side- 4"x19" pvc (36hz))--The port is for an S8L7

Mine is similer, but it has a step in the back, and is about 12" tall.
