hi everyone, new here. signed up because i'm going to be driving my mothers 88 Suburban thru the winter. little bit about myself and my fleet,lol

 

lets start with the cars

i grew up around crown vics and learned how to drive on one and its been like love at first sight. onto the Suburban. its an 88 model year with an 87 1/2 engine(found that out when we replaced the water pump two years ago,lol) its a 3/4 ton 2wd. it has a 350 under the hood. its two-tone, an off-beige color with a huge brown stripe in the middle. its going to be my winter ride because i was looking at another cherokee to replace the 91 i had and the one i wanted has a blown motor. i don't have the tine nor the money to deal with that right now. so my mom has offered to let me use the sub for the winter. i'm seriously comtemplating buying it off of her. every vehicle i've owned, i always find something to make it unique, kinda stand out in a crowd(my '90 CV has a blacked out grille, i painted my headlight bezels to match the color of the body and i mounted up a bumper from a Grand marquis-the bumpers are way different style wise) so i plan on making some mods to the sub. the uinterior is the 1st area i plan on starting. unfortunately it has the beige interior with the rubber floor. it has a front bench thats falling to pieces and the back bench is in fare shape. what i wanna do is convert it to a gray interior and change out the front bench to buckets. i also want to replace the rubber floor with carpeted. this is all down the line tho. if i can convince my mom to let me buy it off her, i want to get a dual exhaust put on, and maybe a 3" lift. the lack of 4wd is not an issue even tho i live in a heavy snow region. i'm the only one in the house that doesn't get all nervous when theres snow on the ground. i actually kinda enjoy driving in it.

Welcome to the forum!! When you start putting it together, chenc year one or LMC trucks. Chevy Duty has some good stuff as well.
