Torson bars?

Does anyone know how many turns the torson bars are supposed to be turned out on a 89 silverado 2500 4X4? When my friend got his truck they were tightened too much and the upper ball joints are now messed up. We want to set them back to the stock setting but don't know how much to losen them to put them in the stock settings again. Please help

You are going to have to figure out what the stock trim height is.

An alignment shop or a dealership will know the answer.

Did you guys have the front end realigned after turning them up?

If not,that along with the age of the vehicle could have been the reason that they went out.

Just go to a alignment shop and have them set your frontend up to factory specs.  That would be the easiest way, after all, it is their business.
