Ed Blown Vert Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Is there anyway to turn it off or adjust it yourself??
Envoy Fan Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Pull the fuse? I had Mr. Goodwrench at my local GMC dealership relocate mine so it now sets lower. Cost me an hour's labor. Can be returned to OEM specs by reversing what ever he did.
Ed Blown Vert Posted December 28, 2004 Author Posted December 28, 2004 I found an online manual for the Envoy and was able to find the fuse. So far it has worked. But I am sure eventually it may start sagging too much. It also showed how to adjust the ECAS, so I may try to adjust it myself. Thanks.
Envoy Fan Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I was told disabling the fuse might send a code. Did this happen? When the tech relocated my sensors lower, he had two extra screws (one from each side) that he gave me to put back to OEM. Don't know if this is a help or not. Would like to take a look at the online manual. Do you have a link?
Ed Blown Vert Posted December 28, 2004 Author Posted December 28, 2004 No code yet. I am going to check it out this weekend. And see if there is anything I can do. The service manual says how to do it. Here is the link, it covers GM vehicles. http://www.sourcenet.ca:9001/servlets/Home
Ed Blown Vert Posted January 2, 2005 Author Posted January 2, 2005 I adjusted the ECAS and drop it about 1/4 in below specs. Before After
Envoy Fan Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Ed, looks really great. So what exactly did you do to accomplish this as a DIY project? Mine is "off" a little, one side being lower than the other by probably 1/2 inches. Would like to level it out. TIA
Ed Blown Vert Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 I just followed the instructions to adjust the air suspension. Pretty simple to do once you get the tires off. http://www.sourcenet.ca:9001/servlets/Home
Envoy Fan Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Ed, I apologize for being so retarded, but when I type in adjust air suspension or any of the words, I get no document available. Could you be of a little more help? TIA
Ed Blown Vert Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Did you chose the year, make and model first?
Envoy Fan Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Did you chose the year, make and model first? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I did.
Ed Blown Vert Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Then I chose GMT360/370 Suspension air suspension Try this link http://www.sourcenet.ca:9001/servlets/SMSI...spsdsubkey=1894
Envoy Fan Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Got it...I think. '03 slightly different than '02. Thanks.
Ed Blown Vert Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Ahhh... I missed that yours was a 03.
Wingaman Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I wanted to thank you for posting that link to the manuals. I looked for something like that a few months ago and couldn't find it... figured I was doomed to depending on the Dealer to decide if they would locate programs and update my software. 1 minute with that and I found the answer to my side mirror problems that I thought I would have to pay a mechanic to do. Thanks.
