2001 wheel removal?

Greetings GM truck nuts, Can anybody tell me how to get the Aluminum wheels off the full size Silverado 1500  I can't figure out how to remove the center cap cover with the fake plastic lug nuts to get at the real lug nuts behind it.  There is no slot, like earlier Silverado's, to pry off the center cap and I don't want to hack-scratch my wheels.  Thanks.

Just turn the fake lug nuts.  They are threaded onto the real lug nuts.  Once they are all loose the center cap will come right off.  

 

One other note, when you put it back on, look on the back side of the center cap.  There is a little plastic tab that lines up with a slot in the wheel itself.  Also, the plastic lug nuts can strip out if you over tighten them.  That happened to a friends truck.
