Blazer or Tahoe

I currently use my '93 GMC K1500 to plow several driveways in the winter. Sometimes, I wish I had something shorter. My Diamond plow rig will transfer to a '92-'94 Blazer or a '95-'98 Tahoe. The 2 door Blazer/Tahoe is 2 feet shorter than my current reg cab, long bed truck. These shorter vehicles would make life a lot easier manuvering around driveways. My GMC truck is plain-jane with V6, auto and AC. The radio doesn't work. I don't need much more than this, as it plows fine in 4WD low. I only put about 2- 3000 miles a year on the truck, mostly in winter. Most of the time it just sits in my yard.

What is the difference between the Blazer and early Tahoe (up to '96 to keep costs down)? Do the rear seats fold down or come out easier in one or the other. I would need to put about 6 - 700 ponds of ballast in the far back to counter the weight of the plow. Engine power doesn't mean much to me so any engine would do. Are there any reliabilty factors for year vs. another?

Thanks for your help, Fran :(

Can't help you much with the plowing questions, but the rear seats on my '92 fold down flat.

None of them come out without wrenches and busted knuckles.
