Body Mounts

Hey everyone. I have a 94 K1500 and I need to change the body mounts on it. I went to put some step bars on and when I tried getting the bolt off one of the mounts it just snapped off due to rust. So half the bolt is still stuck somewhere up there. I was wondering how big of a problem this is and if any of you had suggestions for fixing this. Also, if anyone out there has the repair manuals are there any diagrams on were the bolts actually go into. I realize its the bottom of the cab I was just wonding how it looked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!

Ouch, I had that happen years ago myself. I had to drill out and retap the bolt threads from the top and in extreme cases you can cut the retainer out and weld in a new one. When I get a new truck before it is a few years old I removed body bolts one at a time and coat them with grease and then put them back it so that I do not have that problem when truck gets old. Detriot could use corrosion resistant hardware for this stuff but that would make too much sense.
