Alarm goes off for about 1 minute

Hi,

For no apparent reason my alarm goes off for a minute (only 1 minute, doesn't come back on) every couple of weeks.

 

Nothing even touches the truck, just sitting there.

 

On my keychain it has lock/unlock. If you press 'lock' one time it locks doors, If you press the lock button a second time, the horn sounds for a second or less. Does this mean the alarm sys. is active?

Its just giving you confirmation that the doors are locked. I don't think that it related to your alarm. I believe with built in alarm, it is activated as soon as the doors are locked with the keys out of the ignition but I could be wrong.

My only suggestion might to be....only lock the vehicle with the key for a week and see if the alarm goes off. Its only activated by the power locks either on the remote or on the power lock switch at the door. Just lock the truck with the outside key and see what happens...my 2 cents.

Sorry, I guess you would have to do it for at least 2 weeks.
