Dual Exhaust on 05 Z71

I woul like to get "true duals" put on my 05 Z71. Coming off the 2 cats, both pipes goes into one collector, then the exhaust goes to one pipe, into the muffler and one pipe out.

 

I'd like to take this single pipe out and go with true dual exhaust. Will probably put an "H" pipe or "X" pipe in also. Has anyone gone with true duals? Any problems? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that is the cool thing about the 96-up trucks. Soooo easy to add duals.

Use a X pipe and not an H.

Thanks for the response. Why an X over an H? I don't know much about either so this is educational.

Has anyone gone with an X Pipe and no muffler? I would like to know how this affects the engine performance and back pressure. Anyone????
