Door Lock Circuit Breaker

1998 Extended Z71, lots of miles, I have been having problems with the dome light switch lately, when the door is open the dome light flickers, etc. I replaced the passenger side a frew years ago. Last week when the temp outside hit 100 and I drove to a store about 10 miles away my electric locks quit working. When I came out of the store they worked. I assumed something electrical had cooled down.

Today the doors lock quit working again, I could smell burning plastic in the cab. Wanting to fix one problem at a time....I was going to look at the dome light door switch and see how easy it was to replace through the fuse cover. I put my fingers up in there and something burned a finger. I investigated and found the circuit breaker for door locks, power seat, etc to be very hot to the touch.

I should tell you, last week while driving down the road a motor rolled out from under my seat. Yep, it powers the front portion of the seat. The seat was in the position I like so I did nothing with it. Just figured I wouldn't adjust it again....

I think I kept this beast 6 months too long, it's falling apart. April was month for new tranny, March was Water pump month. August will be electrical and tires month, never mind the shimmy I get when driving down the road. Mechanic says it's the steering gear box. I figure it needs tires before winter I might as well see if that helps the shimmy before I dump $275 in the steering box.

Any thoughts on the hot circuit breaker (cb)? Will a new cb help or is that a sign of greater problems?

Well I fixed the CB, wires for one of the seat motors were shorting out, I pulled the plug connector for that motor and CB is cool and door locks work. Only adjustment left in my seat is the front to back and the lumbar. That's all I use anyway.
