TRANSFER CASE

Anybody? I think my problems are coming form the transfer case.

It is the electric shift case with the push buttons on the dash. I heard that the electric motors go bad and do not shift the case properly. Will there be a code set if the electric motor is acting up?

I have a case from a 98 Tahoe that had Auto-trac push-button 4x4.

Do you know if they are the same?

I'll sell it super cheap if you think it will work.

I believe they are the same. Can you read the model number on the tag riveted to the T-case? I thought these cases were called NV-243.....the 241 is the same case but has the manual shifter mounted in the cab.

I meant an NP243C. I think that is the right one. I climb under the truck tonight and look.
