Truck battery going bad when sitting 1-2 weeks

With the rising gas prices, we've been using our car more. Seems when the truck sits for a week or two, the battery goes dead. Is this normal? Should the battery be going dead from the truck sitting for a short period of time?

Maybe, maybe not. 1 week no, but two weeks might be enough depending on a number of factors... state of charge when parked and letting it sit two weeks, aftermarket equipment that may be drawing a little more than accepted levels of current, etc., etc.

No aftermarket equipment installed.

If you start it and drive it just a little bit, you'd probably not get the battery to a full state of charge. Do this several times then park it for two weeks, and it'll probably be dead when you come back to it. Various computers on the vehicle are always drawing a little power, though it's minimal and of no harm under circumstances.
