My dad just purchased a '98 Cheyenne 3500 HD with the 7.4 Vortec. It has the 21 gallon and 18 gallon front and rear tanks. When one gets close to empty, how does he go about switching to the other tank? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Oh yes, i tried the search function but it wouldnt work.

If the tanks were factory installed or aftermarket installed properly there should be a switch somewhere in the cab to switch the tanks. Are the two tanks seperate as in two fuel filler necks? You may have to look under the truck and follow the outlet fuel lines from each tank and see where they go, they should go to a switch that has two lines in and one line out. The two lines in come one each from each fuel tank and the line out goes to the engine. Is the fuel pump on the engine or in each fuel tank? If you can find out the above info maybe we can figure this thing out.
