Windshield Wipers

The other day while it was raining, the windshield wipers didn't want to turn on.  We tried to get them to come on for about 45 seconds, and finally they turned on. Anyone else have this problem?  I found a TSB about the wipers, but that was them not shutting off....I wonder if it's related?

There have been some issues with the soldering points on the circuit boards for the wipers becoming broken.  It's a do-it-yourself fix if you wnt to take the board out and check it, otherwise you may have to replace the board altogether.  It is located under the hood in a black box by the wiper motor somewhere.  I have never actually seen one, but this was common in trucks a little older than yours, so it is possible it could be the problem in yours too.  Otherwise it may be the switch in the turn signal stalk.
